Suspension noise after 58" long bars??
It has been about 2 months since the install of my traction bars. Instructions say to tighten following a few runs down the track. Did that today, found some improvement, but parking, slow turns, stops etc - I am getting enough suspension noise to bug the ***** out of me. Has anyone experienced the same? Any solutions?
Thanks!

This is where the old compromise comes into play. From a traction and performance point of view - hmmmm, lets just say without them I was breaking loose at the line with Hoosiers. They are awesome! Funny though my L has enough power to break loose yet my 60fts suck (but in all fairness to the 58's that is stictly due to a very conservative tune, especially under 3000 rpms, long story). Any way, yes the noise is a pain in my a$$, but I can't imagine being on the track or let alone the street with out them, period! And I had tried the truk traks (which are great for under 450 hp applications), but the JLP bars are the ticket. Highly recommended!

I run JLP's bars, my truck is not a daily driver but other than a squeek now and again, zero noise. You mentioned your getting a noise when turning in parking spaces or tight radius turns, you my consider having your steering tops greased as I had this problem and I'm not the only one. good luck, Todd

Mine use to hit the exhuast big time, use to be a real loud annoying clunk, TG I fixed that. (cut off the stops, and turned both clamps 180 degree's) But unfortunatly it's still close enough that it rattle's like hell in certain situations.
BTW
I also had (and still have) suspension noise immediately the day I swaped from the Truck Trak's. BUT like Dan The Man just said, there will come a HP point where Slapper Style Bars just don't cut in anymore, (been there, done that). He also said it's well worth the small compromise And I got to tell you, IT IS. Seeing it over and over on Video, Man I got to tell you, my launching at Cecil was a million times better than it use to be, the feel inside was great, it squated and launched FINALLY instead of lifting and hopping, and I managed my best 60 yet with them first time out --> 1.63
IT'S ALL GOOD.............. Awesome Product..............

I run the fiberglass leafs and traction bars. no problems, but I was advised by JL to run the 58" t-bars. Id hate to snap something off back there at 800 plus torque. Did you try lubing all bushings and components back there Dan? Ill be trying these 58" bars next week and all components back there will be thoroughly lubed. Peace
Stock Exhuast Dan, thats when you really have a Prob

Once you cut the Clamp holders off the Pipes and swing the two
clamps 180 degrees, it'll stop the horz side to side scraping,
but unfortunatly it's still too close vert, and you still get some up and down rubing

The big gash is from when it use to hit horz, still rattles up and down but that should be as easy as bending the muffler hanger up closer to the floor board and raising my tips. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow if I get energetic
