DJM/WC control Arm Question
Ok well i recently lowered the front of my truck by cutting my front springs but i only did it as a temporary drop to even it out with the shackle/ hanger in the rear.
Well i took the front bumpstop completely out to give the control arm some more travel but now it still hits on the bump stop bracket on sharp bumps, the round piece that you put the bump stop into.
My question is with new lower control arms will the front have more travel? Are the DJM/WC arms designed to go around the bumpstop bracket or something to prevent bottoming out so much??

Yes and no.
Aftermarket control arms are no closer to the bump stops than stock. In fact, for at least the DJMS, they are actually a little farther away. All of the drop comes from lowering the spring pocket in the lower arm.
But if you use short springs for an ultra-drop (like 4" or so), you could end up back down on the stops.
