Body Shops in NJ

I'm getting an AAD Cobra hood this week and I dont now where to bring it. Does anyone know anyone thats really good with this aftermarket stuff? The quality of the hood is really good, but still needs to be preped and curred (baked) before sanding and painting. I live in Burlington County NJ, but I am willing to travel for quality workmanship.

Any help will be appreciated!!!!!!!

NJ Body shops

Kirst,
I am having my Cervini's hood and rear tail spoiler prepped and painted next week by my friend Bill who own's Levittown Auto Body in Delran, NJ. I will post pics and let you see the results by the end of next week. His shop does great work, they have worked on many of my Porsches and other sports cars. I am sure the Cervini hood is similar to yours in the original finish. Mine is rough and definitely needs prep work. Stay tuned for future developments.
Rick

Body shop location

The shop is off of Bridgeboro road on Mulberry street, about 1/4 mile from rt130. Bill Fullerton is who to ask for. He is getting back from vacation this weekend and will be working on my Lightning starting this Monday. Stop in any time after 8am.

I remember the problem of finding a painter for a Cervini hood and wing
Good Luck and post some pics of the final results. Let me know how you make out with the factory hood struts holding up the cowl hood. Mine wouldn't, even went and bought some brand new ones from Ford......same result

Gator: Did you find any aftermarket struts to solve the problem?

Captain: My truck is black. The shop is going to prep and paint the new hood and tail spoiler, and also paint the upper and lower honeycomb grills (99 model). I'll be posting pics to show results.

Nope.........

I did solve the problem by cutting a piece of 3/4" pvc pipe 4 1/4" long, then slicing a slot lengthwise, to fit over the strut. It acts like a wedge between the strut and the bottom mount. I can take a pic if you need one.

Hood struts

Thanks. The PVC seems like a good idea. I don't know if my hood is as heavy as yours. I went with the lower profile ram air style. I have some left over hood struts from my old 914 that were really strong, I may try them if necessary.

Kirst,

If you are feeling ambitious you could take a ride up Rte 130. There are a couple of reputable body shops within 10 minutes of each other. Mule, Duies, and Ricos all do good work and should be in the same price range. They are on 130 in yardville and would be a 20 min ride or so for you.

I know those shops up on Rt 130 near by yardville all do great work. Had a couple buddies get work done up there.

NJLightning, you happen to have a red L and be on 130 this afternoon around 12?
