Header install question????

Question Header install question????

Got a set of stainless dynatech longtubes.Are there any problems with putting them on while the motors out and going in?Did a search but didnt see anything.Any recomendations on the header bolts from getting loose.Loctite?blue,red?

Those go in easily from underneath without removing anything other than the stock manifolds. No real advantage to trying to tie them in place to drop the motor in. I'd just put them in after the engine is buttoned down.

If it were me doing it, I would lay them in the engine compartment and drop the motor on top. It can be a pain in the arsh to try to wiggle and maneuver them around with everything installed, plus you run the risk of scratching them. You may need two people...one to drop the motor and one to hold or move the headers so the motor sits right. Seems to me to be easier this way. Good Luck!

I agree with you on every set of headers I've installed...except those!!!!!!!!! Seriously, they will go right up without scratching at all, plus those are an uncoated stainless steel. Easiest to fit header I've ever done. Kinda fun getting the header bolts in and tight, but as far as getting them into position, it's a snap.

No problem doing it your way also, just extra work getting them to stay in position.
