That's exactly what I was going to say. If you go get your truck pulled with STD numbers again I don't think you will see as much of a loss of torque if any and probably the usual 20-30 pick up in horsepower from a ported blower. I think the difference between my SAE and STD was like 15hp or so...of course thats affected by weather and such, but just to give you an example...

That's kind of what I was saying.

The after would show less of a gain. I'm sure you can call the dyno place and have them send you one of the runs using STD correction. Most places I know of save all of the runs. Or call JDM and have them send SAE corrected runs.

I made
Before
384HP@ 4800 RPM and 477FT #'s @ 3600 RPM @ A/F 0f 10.0 @ 84 degrees.....STD

AFTER
408 HP@ 4600 RPM and 497 FT #'s @ 3500 RPM @ A/F of 11.5 @ 72 degees....
STD
AFTER
396HP@4600 RPM and 483 FT #'s @ 3500 RPM @ A/F 11.5 @ 72 degrees...
SAE

Same Dyno with Tailpipe sniffer each pull..

The After pull was the highest of the day but was also run after 6 consecutive pulls...in other words heat soaked.

The first pull was the third pull and the highest of that day.....so maybe heat was not as much a factor....

Here's my dyno sheet of the before and after pulls with a Apten port job. Same dyno, 5 days apart, similar weather conditions.
Spinning the everloving chit out of it
You mileage may vary

Gained "alittle" hp and didn't lose any tq

Peak numbers

It seems to me that peak numbers are not what are telling the story with the ported blower. Compare the before and after curves above 3500 RPM. Does anyone have any before and after results on the truck that has head/cams??

Ok you got me there Buddy, you DO cut a mean light,
and I do have to factor that in to the next run.

That why I will be pushing my Baby with the most stress
she's ever had thrown at her next time.
Hey what the hell,

UPDATE

OK, so what i'm seeing is the SAE numbers will always be a bit lower. Where my baseline pull was STD numbers, and the numbers for the ported blower pull were SAE, there is no real comparrison. I'm going to call the dyno tomorrow do see if they can convert my chart to STD correction or not. All in all from what i read, STD numbers are usually highter by at least 4%. If this is true, and we use 4%(don't know and not saying this is how it is for sure).....this would be the difference.

Before 416/ 522, After 443/521.

If that's the case, I would be very happy, and like everyone is saying, spinning it faster would show mower gains, so i'm thinking maybe time for an upper pulley swap.

I'll call the dyno tomorrow and see what happens.

Don...I know the hardware store is probably booming right now with grass growing and trees budding, but I don't think your ported blower has anything to do with MOWER gains!!!!!!!!
