I just traded my black 2002 L on a Sonic Blue 2004. I can tell you that the black shows swirls and light scratches much better than the blue. When I picked up my Sonic Blue, there were some swirls in the paint from the dealership...the detail shops at most dealerships does not do nearly a good enough job. I am very VERY picky about my paint, so I took my trusty Porter Cable buffer out the weekend after I bought it and now the paint looks perfect. (Well it did until it started raining today!) I love the Sonic Blue, it gets a lot more attention too!

 

FooFur, you can get 3M SMR from Pep Boys and a couple other auto parts stores. I've even seen it at Wal-Mart.
