Concerned for fellow L owner! Engine blow?
Hey fellas, I know this guy who has owns a L who just went out and spend a ***** load of money on mods and Im worried he could blow his engine if he doesnt do it right.
Bought a Preditor(no custom tune), 6lber, apten blower port, air filter, FTVB, and full exhust.
I thought I remember hearing that the preditor pulley tune is too aggressive?
So, is he risking it or what?

He needs a custom Predator tune ASAP. Plus 6# of boost with a ported blower is more like 8# actual. Did he change plugs? If not he definately needs to before he explodes a plug. It would be a shame to spend all that money and blow it all up
Tell him to hold his ears while driving so the explosion doesn't make him go deaf as well. Worst case he should use the non pulley tune on the Predator. He really needs a custom tune set up specifically for his mods. Otherwise it's just a crap shoot.
Diablo has their tunes installed. The distributer sells you the Predator, from there you have the option to use their tunes (junk) or use the Predator to send out your stock tune and recieve a custom tune from your tuner.
I personally installed the Diablo pulley tune in my truck with a 6#lower and got pinging at 80 mph while at WOT, so be careful, it will give him detonation...make sure he knows what it wounds like so he can get off it before it gets dangerous...or better yet, get a custom tune!

I thought the predator was empty until you receive it, then you load your program into it, and your tuner modifies it? I don't understand.

Oh BTW get a custom tune.
