Angry GREAT! Now the L is Leaking

I noticed that I had a damp bell housing when I was under the truck putting in the FTVB this weekend. now I have drips. Worst part is its engine oil coming off the back side of the block, down past the starter, then onto the trans and finally onto the ground. I am really glad they threw in the additional 3 years and 30k mile warrenty (bump to bump Ford ESP) with rental car. I havent installed my pulley yet and the dealer I go to has been under the hood and seen my TB and JLP. They have said its not stock but have performed the Warrenty work and not voided me yet. Should I pull of my TB before I go in? I am thinking the motor might have to come out to get it fixed as I dont see any leaks from the top and cant pin point the leak from the bottom. I take the truck in thursday morning. Any opinions?

Chris

Sounds like maybe a head gasket if oil is running down to starter. Certainly not uncommon from what i've heard.

If its on the passenger side that would be my guess also.

guess its time to de-mod or watch the warrenty go void.

ps, I think I will have them slide in the new plugs while they have it apart

been there done that twice, the 2nd time the dealer caused so much grief (tried to blame it on the scraped pcm board/chip at one time)/damage (bent a valve, scratched bumper cover, oil& coolant on seats, damaged sub enclosure) and frustration (removed cab, hard water spots) I ended up selling the L!!

The leak on my 01 was from the main cap(?) bolts that go into the block from the outside. Took them 4 tries to fix it.

Angry oil leak

I had the same oil leak, the right rear head gasket was leaking oil, it was covered under warranty, this is a common problem on our motors and ford has an updated head gasket that is used when the head gasket needs replacing (its thicker than the original head gasket). also, ive taken my truck to the dealer several times with all my mods on the truck and never once have I had a problem with the service dept saying there going to void my warranty because of them, I guess some dealers are just A-holes because they don`t want to do warranty work so they look for any reason to void someones warranty.

I have the same issue but I doubt I'm going to take it to the dealer. Don't need more headaches from them screwing my truck up.
