3rd gear problem still

My L seems to studder and hesitate in 3rd gear, between 80-90mph. After that, it pulls just fine. It's been custom Predator tuned by JLP to compensate for the 4#lower, boost bypass, headers and exhaust, and ram air. Any ideas? I've tried the fuel filter and ran some injector cleaner, too. Seems to be starved for fuel at around 4k rpm only in 3rd. WTF? Is there anything that i can modify with the Predator that will fix it? Any ideas would be greatly apprecieated.

Just curious if you have a dyno sheet (with air/fuel)? Might show something there...

Is it possible it's just the torque convertor locking up?

One of two things:

It is either your torque converter locking up (which you would notice about a 200rpm drop). Perfectly normal.

Or, your spark plugs are gapped to big. What plugs and gap are you running?

I'm running NGK Tr55ix's and i'm not exactly sure what they're gapped at, pretty wide if i remember from the install. What should they be gapped at? How do you gap and iridium plug w/o breaking the electrode? Thanks guys

Torque Converter lock up?

I am experiencing a lock up in my torque convertor a 4200rpm in 3rd gear. I lose about 200rpms then continues through the power band like nothing happened. With this lockup I lose a bit of time in the 1/4 mile. How do I turn it off or get rid of it? Your responces would be appreciated.

Lockup

Will the torque converters still lock up under wide open throttle? If yes, wouldn't that help out MPH? I've heard it does in the turbo Buick world.
