I've raced a Viper if that's what you are looking for... I ran 12.7 to his 13.2. I was shocked I beat a Viper, not as shocked as he was though. He wasn't happy. His MPH was up there though, so I think I just cought him on a bad day.

A Viper Venom is a package from Hennessey Motorsports. You can get them from 500 HP to 1000 HP. They are usually labeled Venom 500, 550 etc.. If you have a more specific question feel free to ask.

Ohh ok, are they actuall endorsed by dodge or are they just an affliate or what? I thought their relationship was similar to the relationship between ford and saleen, is that basically true?

I'm guess they accomplish this with blowers of some type, what do they typicaly use?

Sorry had to work over the weekend and did not see this. There is no relationship to dodge with these tuners. On the lower end the 500 was just exhaust related modifications. Moving up the scale got you headers, high flow cats, cat back exhaust, Air box and filters, Sometimes bigger throttle bodys and for the 800 and 850 If I remember right that was a n2o setup. The 1000 is a twin turbo setup. Now there are other Viper tuners out there that do alot of superchargers. Doug Levin, Roe Racing, Jason Heffenier are usually the big names. With the addition of a supercharger and fuel system upgrade depending on what other mods the cars have most of the there Vipers dyno from the mid 700's to as high as the mid 900's rear wheel HP. At the V10 nationals there are pretty much street cars running in the low 10's high 9's with these setups. I think right now the top trap speed is from a twin turbo car at about 153 MPH. You can check there times on www.v10nationals.com hope that helps.

Like shane's experience, I had a similar experience with a viper owner at the track that didn't know how to drive. He rolled in there with a red GTS thinking he was the shi!t, walkin around and talkin to people like they were nothing. Then he gets up to the line, barely spins the tires for a burnout, smokes the tires alll the way through first gear and most of second after the launch, and runs a 14.1. Needless to say, he parked it and sat in the bleechers the rest of the night. He should just go ahead and trade me cars so he can mash the pedal on the automatic, and let me have some fun with the viper. What a joke.
