More Shiney Stuff (CatchCan/Overflow Tank)

Catch Can is done.
I used a GReddy Billet catch can cause I wanted a polished nice looking can. Most of the mill marks from the original can are long gone. The bracket was made from simple aluminum slat that can be bought at Home Depot. The round black spaces are tube washers from Home Depot that I had powdercoated black. My blower has since had holes drilled in the base so it can be mounted to a 99 or 01 mainfold, so this gives me 3 extra holes to mount things like this catch can and eventially my REM separator on the other side to handle the passenger side blow by. The catch can will be filled with heavy duty steel pads used to scrub metal pans (not SOS pads). Most grocery store sell them 3 for a $1.

Sanded and Painted EGR Valve
Finally got done sanding my egr valve smooth and painting it with Eastwood header paint.

Ordered a polished Moroso coolant overflow tank a month ago and polished the hell out of it. I need this inorder to give my air filter more room to breath. The stock coolant tank is right up against the air filter, plus this is shiney and crap. Also, finally got my custom alternator pulley in the mail and proceded to polish that to... no more belts blowing apart.

Notice all the bolts for the blower/manifold have either been replaced with polished socket bolts or Chromecoated

I only have a very small amount left from installing my window. I got mine from the auto store just north of Jon's house. It's like 1 mile up the road on the east side of US19, they stay open late.

It will give you an excuse to visit next time, if the women allows you out.

What’s the name of the parts store?

I don’t need an excuse to visit... I’m the one who isn’t married remember? I would have come by last time but my business is #1... I had to stay so someone would be here for the late freight shipments.

Calm down now... It's the only autostore just north of Jon's house before The Wing House and Hooters.

I might be married, but we still live in different cities

Looks awesome

Just make sure you mount the overflow tank up as high as you canget it. If it is not up high enough you can get air trapped in the heads and thats a bad thing.

If it up above the heads you should be OK

Myself I wouldn't mess with the expansion tank.

If I mount the tank where to stock tank is there should be no problems. I will watch the temp gauge closely for overheating after the install. Thanks

You are correct, it is the store we went belt shopping at. Look near the adhesives and you will find the butyl tape there near the floor.
