I have a metallic sound I can hear from outside the truck during idle. Not very loud, but still audible. Can really hear it in an enclosed area like a drive-thru. I am praying it is the heatshield and not something with the blower or pulley. Anyone had loose heatshield problems?

 

Does it sound more from the engine area or maybe the exhaust under the cab.

Iwonder if a weld broke lose on a interior peace of the muffler.
At an idle it is flopping but when you give it gas there is more pressure to push it to the side.

Might be a good excuse to get a catback

 

Well i have problems with my heatshields They are a little loose and you can hear it but it is not so loud

If i was you i should check my heatshields it could be cracked or something
Mine is cracked
