Disappointing Dyno Results

Got the L dynoed today.

It was on a Dyno Jet

Here are the results

Pull #1 348.5 HP 438.7 Torque
Pull #2 351.8 HP 442.9 Torque
Pull #3 350.4 HP 438.6 Torque

Air Fuel was good at 12.0 - 11.9 thru the whole pull

I was hoping for something in the 380 HP range with my mods

2000 L
4lbs Lower
90mm Mass Air
JLP Air Induction
C&L True Flow Inlet Pipe
Bassani X Pipe, Spintech Mufflers
Boost Bypass
Predator
Tuned by RTWD

Ill post the dyno sheet after I get it scaned tonight.

Do you have a chip? I felt you should be around 400 hp?

I've got a 8# lower and an Apten on an 6 # program and latey I'm flying. I'm at 2500' ft elevation and some heat!
this thing just rips the rubber every time.

Take it to the track - you'll know for sure then

...does seem a bit low, maybe you're tune is conservative in timing... plus, you're only able to run 91, so it might be right on.

Your numbers sound just right for your mods. For a 2000 with a 4lb lower and running CA GAS, that's an average number. Remember, with the CA gas you have to run less timing. If you were running 93 octane, you'd most likely have made 365-370. Remember, your truck only started with 315-320 at the wheels. Hope this helps.

still seems low

This was with
JDM tuned chip,filter,4lb lower, efan, pump, t/b, 90mm maf, silverbullet as far as power adders.

This was on my 2000 on my street tune with 93 pump gas.

are both of your runs on the street side? If so what made the 20 hp jump from the runs?

the first run was the baseline run from the "mail order" tune. The second run was after Jim tuned it on the dyno. Still a little fat in the mid range and we could have got some more out of it, but I was happy where it was. Picked up 30 hp and 70 ftlbs

Sal,

You did a chip for a friend of mine (John) out here in CA, he is running the same mods with a 80mm Mass Air, and he has Bassani Exhaust. At the same dyno with your tune he put down between 375 and 380, on CA gas.

Jay i think you need to know where your timing is set. I also think your dyno is low. I was around 380 with similar mods, but with fuel and timing added.

Max timing is set at 14 degrees according to the notes that came with the tune
