This last saturday night was prom night around my area. So most of the highschool guys at work were all gone in the evening to prom. Well one of the highschool guys decides to come flash his dads vette that he was driving to prom at work. Its a red 01 corvette automatic that has a cold air intake on it. Anyways...the manager at work told me it would smoke me. I said "If it was a Z06, Yes". The manager still continued to go on and on and on about it. Well...the highschool guy in the vette was willing to race me and he was confident he could beat me, and he knew my truck was bone stock and had even been for a ride in it. So about 15 minutes later we were all off work and I met him on the street. On the start I immediatly pulled a car on him....... and he never gained an inch after that ..... Two things were awesome about this
1. a 33K$ TRUCK just beat his dads 40K$ sports car....
2. His prom date was in the passenger seat watching her date get his a** kicked by a truck

 

Good kill bro. Thats one prom night to remember.

Haha nice. My friend always gets to drive his dad's 02 automatic, and is clearly jealous that my truck wipes him up now.

 

Im pretty much stock...and thats exactly how ALL my vette races have ended up. Even hung with one that had a huge friggin NOS sticker across the back up to 140(closed road). I know he didnt spray me, but he couldnt get me off his ***. Slowed down and gave me a thumbs up and a nod.

good kill. Vettes are dogs for some reason out of the LS1 family. Always have more problems from a good WS6 though.

 

Must be nice. I can get one to race me.

 

Vetts are a tasty kill, better than most.

 

SOme kid that goes to my high school had his dads Z06 sat night driving it because of the prom. I saw him in it early in the night but i was in the Limo. So come time for everyone to leave i get dropped off at the house to get my truck to go party and who do i pull next to at a light. Its him me and my Gf were in the L and i hadnt even WOT since i got my ported s/c. She doesnt like street racing but this time i couldnt turn it down. Light goes green and hes smokes em bu tso do ibut i hook quicker and im gone i put 2-3 car lengths on him real quick. I let out and he did a ricer fly by. He wont even come talk to me at school now. IT was great smoking him in my truck but afterwards at the party was even better

 

A lot of people dont believe our trucks smack Vettes or even older cobras... I tell them strait out that the ZO6 and the New Snakes will beat me by a whole second... but they just dont seem to get it
