Extreamly Dissapointed

I recently recieved my income check back i have enough money to get the jdm silver bullit exhaust. So i call them up today to see if i can stop down and pick the cat back up so i can install it today. Well they told me that they arent going to get them in for at least 3 weeks . This isso disapointing for me because i was really looking foward to getting that today. Does anyone else have any sad stories about parts they wanted but couldnt get there hands on.

Make sure you get the stainless pipes from them. Otherwise you will have pipes falling off like mine were. You will be pleased with the sound though!

to tell you the truth it will probably be longer than 3 weeks, just bite your lip and wait it out, b/c its worth it with the fit, finish, and sound, you won't be disapointed.

get the Bassani, it has better fit, finish, material quality, and IMHO sound quality (not louder though).

if you are going for shear noise output wait on the JDM.

otherwise, I'd suggest you consider the Bassani.

just my .02

BTW, I've owned both. JDM magnaflows on my current truck. if it was simple enough and wasn't gonna cost me an ADDITIONAL $600+ I'd swap my magnaflow/jdm cat back for Bassani. unfortunately, it's not a simple bolt on since I've got the long tubes and carsounds cats.

some will disagree. sound is a personal preferance thing like paint color though, so it's up to you to decide.

later,
chris

Look at the bright side...this will give you some time to get real collector gaskets to use instead of the ones made out of construction paper that come with the JDM exhaust.

Oh and don't use the header gaskets either..unless you're a big fan of the "rumble-tick rumble-tick rumble-tick" sound.

Don't get me wrong -I love my JDM/Kooks/Silver Bullit...but for the price they coulda thrown in a decent 5$ gasket.

Like Chris, I too have had both ... The JDM was a great
deal as part of a buildup, but it had a bit of a drone.
When I replaced it with the Bassani (Which I heard on
a friends truck) I was very satidfied with the more
refined sound and the materials were top notch.

The pipes on the JDM one didn't hold up and started rusting
after a year or so. Several others have had the same
problem and JDM has replaced those with NO PROBLEMS
and zero cost to the owners. They musta got a bad batch
of pipe or something.

The totally Stainless Steel Bassani still looks the same as
the day I put it on. And it's on a daily driven 36K truck.

Get the best you can afford.

Edward Goodell,

A year in a half ago our exhaust had aluminized piping.
We now use 304 stainless steel, which is better than Bassani's 409. We just desided to be the best.

Sorry for the inconveniece if you are still interested, call us and I will set up an appointment for you to come in and have it installed this week. The reason why they said three weeks is because we just sold the last one this morning. We have the components to build one on your truck. It is just that our welding shop is not scheduled to build ours for another week.

Oh ya now we have a lifetime warranty on them.

Thanks

Jim@JDM

Ordered an air intake kit from REM roughly 40 days ago. Not a word since and no intake. Never was charged.
