3rd gear problem

I just got my JLP predator tune (which seems to be awesome). The only problem is that between 80 and 90 mph it seems to choke/studder. As if it were a dead spot in the power curve. The tranny seems to get confused sometimes ie. shifting and then going back to the previous gear momentarily. My mods are JLP forced air, 4# lower, predator, boost bypass, bassani headers and exhaust, and NGK TR55ix's. Is it possible to get detonation in one gear and not the others? Is this a tune problem? Or maybe a tranny problem? I don't have the line valve mod, but would it help fix this? Are my plugs incorrect for these mods? Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

From: Colorado,
How long has it been since you changed your fuel filter?

Your using a lot of gas to get up to that shift point maybe it mobentarily runs out.

Checking your plugs is a good idea to.

Let us know what you find out.

I'm embarrassed to say that it's probably the original fuel filter! I'll change it later today and see what happens

1. Part of your problem may be your fuel filter but not all of it.

2. I think the 'tune' is off in the Predator.

3. This could be a torque converter unlocking at the wrong time which is governed by the tune.

4. I would run TR6's with your mods.

5. No, don't replace or add a modification to 'repair' a problem. Get the problem fixed first.

6. Not sure but pretty certain you can get detonation in just one or two gears.
