Magnum Powers Superchargers
Magnun Powers Supercharger
Here are some of the latest numbers from one of our Magnum Powers truck. The Lightning made 580 RWHP and 629 RWTQ at 18 pounds of boost. We expect to see over 600 RWHP when we up the boost to 20 pounds. Looking at the graph you'll notice that we shut the dyno run down right as it was reaching peak horsepower. This truck basically has all the typical bolt on mods plus our Crower Stage 2 cams. For a $1700.00 blower 11's in the 1/4 mile can be easily attainable for a simple bolt on truck with a stock bottom end.

Ok, here's the secret. Get a hoist, or use somebodies, 12 pack(I find Miller Lite is more creative and less filling) and just tell yourself I'm taking somthing off every night. After 2 1/2 yrs of this practice I've managed to get down to 3800-3900lbs I'll know for sure next week when I weigh it. I was 4150 over a year ago, and I've had a ton of Miller Lite since 4150. Some of the stuff is a little radical but the L still looks basically stock.(exterior) Last year 12.2's@112.4.'s this year 11's (all the time) w/only 392rwhp. (a really safe reflash by Jerry & Pete @ FORDCHIPS.com) Stock with just bolt on's and no ported anything. Oh ya Miller Lite has less carbs also. Ed

Those are some great numbers! It looks like the MP is showing a lot of the ported Eaton's characteristics, but to a larger magnitude. It looks like it's capable of passing out all the punishment a stock block is capable of harnessing.
Realisticly though, I'f you spin a stock shortblock to the tune of 580hp and 6000 rpm, It won't last long. If you were to limit the rpm to 5250 that combo is still making about 560 hp, which is fantastic for a stock block.
BTW Evan Smith ran 11.teens on 559/628 in the Fridge. Very similar setup.
Edit: He does have a JDM built block, so his pucker factor is considerably lower for those 11 seconds.

i think that looking at boost numbers to determine how the block will do is the wrong was to look at it, rpm and the final hp number are what demand attention. And i'll agree 6000 rpm with a stock block is kinda. . . .risky, but hey you only live once.
Just wondering because i missed when the mp blower came out, this is still a roots blower in an eaton case correct?
