Hey, Good Luck Rob.

I didn't realize what you were actually describing with your brakes. The ceramic brakes work better when they are hot. So maybe it is just a normal thing you are experiencing. I have about 20K miles on my front ceramix and I still have to stand on the pedal when I first get on them (during hard braking). I guess it is a tradeoff, less dust.

You aren't making excuses already, are you? Fluid smell, Ultra 93 , last year's juice....hmmmm

Can't wait to hear the outcome or see a video!

Good Luck Rob and Gator both I wish I could be there to see it. When is the race tomorrow afternoon? I've always been very jealous of both your guys set ups. Gator sense you went 11's all throttle and no bottle and Rob I have a 4# lower and a 2.8 upper as well. I just don't have the ***** to sprey like you do. Rob now that you've got the port on your Eaton do you think you'll ever see an 11 second run without Nitrous? When you ran the 11.8 you were spreying what 100 shot? And was that with stock upper or what was on for that run? Gator ported his blower also didnt he. And I'm sure he's gotten a little quicker than the 11's he was running last season. I dont know I could be wrong. If I was a betten man, I'd say Rob you've gotta catch Gator on a bad day, or turn up your jets if you don't want to see his tail lights. I'm going to go with Gator on this one. Prove me wrong Rob. Good luck to both of you guys. I'll keep you in my thoughts, please be careful, have fun and someone videotape that ***** for me.
Shane

Ya Shane I believe everyone would see me as the under dog
on this one, and I'd prob have to agree. But I've NEVER ran more than 75HP Jets, thats what was in it for the 11.8 along with both the upper and lower pulleys.

I'll check at lunch time, but I know I have fairly minimum miles on the L since the last Oil and Fuel Fliter change, I'm guessing well under 2k, maybe less than that, I did change it right before JDM day, and god knows I haven't got to hardly drive it due to the frigging Winter from Hell. I guess it wouldn't hurt to pick one up today and bring it along.

I don't know whats more exciting, FINALLY getting to make a pass
God there's nothing like that feeling
OR
the suspense of "if" the Motor and or Tranny will hold up.
Thats a diff kind of excitement, and one I don't look foward to as I launch that bitch with the most aggressive set up yet
(the added Ported Eaton Mod, along with the Eng Town set up)

I'm only plan on making one pass, But if all goes well, maybe I'll try a NON Nitrous pass and see what she'll do ?
Either way, it should make good TV and bring me an exciting new Sig.

Me running my best ET yet,
or
losing to Gator, and flopping out
or
going BOOM
"YIKES".........

I HAVE FAITH She won't let me down

I'd be very curious to see how you do if you run non nitrous. You have the 4# lower, 2# upper, and the ported Eaton you are making some serious power. Now you have traction bars, so you may be able to get a better launch. On a good day do you think you could get it into the 11's without nitrous? Or is that wishful thinking with stock exhaust and no long tubes??? Gator you've got pretty good 60 foots dont you? Do you have a converter too?

What happenes is any sediment in the system that lands in the fuel filter will drop to the bottom and harder, eventually plugging up the fuel filter, or at a minimum greatly restricting the flow based on what micron filter you have.

I see it on lawn equipment in my shop all the time. The equipment sits over the winter and some of them have a clear casing in them, you'd be amazed to see what's in there.

Could be the difference between winning and loosing.....both the race and your engine........Good luck and someone better get this on tape

No way Rob..........maybe 30 max. It is all foam with thin carpet covering.

I agree it does add weight..........but it sure looks good.

Lunch time,
too much to do to B/S
but only 1k since the filter change 12,009 miles
now I have a 13, 0 something K, thats fine

Gator just called, he's def planning on going for a BIG Numbers,
and I know the SOB got a few tricks up his sleeve. THAT DEVIL...
Of course I wish him all the Luck in the world, the main thing
is for EVERYONE to bring it home in one piece.

Shane
Wishful thinking getting into the 11's LESS Nitrous,
that can't happen with my current set up,
remember I have NO hi octane race programs, no aggressive tune, no Exhuast, Suspension, Fans, Pump, even Cat Backs, etc.

My thinking is a little diff than most, I believe in driving the street and racing on the same program, so the truck runs the same on the street. And I still think it's better only putting the extra stress on the Motor at the track (with the Juice), rather than 24/7 with an extra 75 HP in 24/7 HP Mods , so I'm happy right where I am FOR NOW
That could all change tommorrow of course

V, Gator and other that do it, have tons of Mods I don't have. Plus V use to run 8lbs of pulley, and Gator a 6lbs Lower + a 1 - 2 Upper, My guess is I'd run a mid 12, who knows maybe better.

The rumor mill said that Rob visited Sal's new shop recently. Hmmm.....Can anyone say race program ?

Rob, you may want to take your front license plate off for more weight savings

You guys better upgrade your AAA membership to the Premium Package that allows towing greater than 100 miles.

J/K...it's all in good fun. Good luck to both of you!

Have a great time Ronbo and Gator, all i gotta say Ronbo is you are going to have to get a very very improved run from your best which is already a very quick ET by the way to take the Gator IMO. I do wish both of you a safe run and may the best truck/driver win!
