I've got a friend that thinks color makes a difference in price. Please help me to prove to him that he is a senile old man

 

White is obviously worth a good 2 to 3 grand more than any other color. Honest

I think unless a car/truck is some really obscure color like bright pink or something, it doesn't make a bit of difference.

color only makes a difference in price if it's sonic blue, sonic blue is worth more. the paint is made with special moon rocks that reflect light in just the right way.

it's spectacular.

BTW, SB a sonic blue vehicle is worth even more if your valve covers and blower match!

the only way one color is worth more than the other is if you have a buyer that wants one specific color over the other.

ex: if I'm on the market for a Lightning and I really want a black one, but I find a silver one for sale. I might still be interested in possibly buying the silver one, but I might pay more if I could find a black one...

or something

either way sonic blue is still the best.

No, True Blue was a 2002 only color; darker than Sonic Blue. I also agree with Superfords on his color preference!

True Blue might be the only color actually worth more than the other colors that have been made considering it was only made for one year, on an already limited production vehicle, that is all I can think of. Oh yeah besides the fact that the red models came with 20 extra horsepower

True Blue is the most limited production color for the 2nd Gen Lightning. Just like mine!

 

Chris I had those special moon rocks crushed up in my True Blue paint, It was a special order...LOL.....................

Incorrect. The rarest Lightning is a White 2002. Less than 300 were produced.

They made over 1,000 true blue trucks.

A white 2003 is second rarest, with a production number of 606.

About 700 sonic blue 03's were made.

Every year other than 03 black has been the highest percentage, coming to about 1800 black L's a year. I believe in 2003 dark shadow gray replaced black as the highest produced color.
