Plug change interval

Ok i have NGK TR6's in my L right now gapped at .038 with my 4lb lower. I have my s/c off getting ported and it looks like right now might be a good time to change the plugs. Ive had this set of TR6's in for almost 8,000 miles/ 1 1/2 year. So would i have any benefeit from changing them... they have some carbon build on them.

I guess itll be a good idea to change them. I think i might gap them at .36 since i will have more boost now with the ported s/c does that sound like a good idea?

My tuner (REM) has said I should be at 0.032" gap with a 4# and ported eaton.

Oh and I check a plug or 2 about 3-4 times a year. So far I've changed the plugs 3 times and am sick and tired of it. Mine always look nice and tan. So this time around It'll most likely be next spring before I touch them again.
