After 2 1/2 yrs of this practice I've managed to get down to 3800-3900lbs I'll know for sure next week when I weigh it. I was 4150 over a year ago, and I've had a ton of Miller Lite since 4150. Some of the stuff is a little radical but the L still looks basically stock.(exterior) Last year 12.2's@112.4.'s this year 11's (all the time) w/only 392rwhp. Stock with just bolt on's and no ported anything. Oh ya Miller Lite has less carbs also. Ed
I was waiting for you to make a post

Thats just awesome. I can't imagine what you've removed tho. The truck weighs 4500 stock about right?

Are you only removing things or replacing them with lighter things?

I thought mine weighed about 4700 lbs on the scales at Milan.

the ONLY reason Wydopnthrl is doing this is that he wants to beat me at Milan in a week and a half.

I think I understand the mentality. Just bit by bit remove little things.

I guess like everyone else I wanna go for the easy stuff first. And the further fwd it is.. the more I'm interested.

When I got my aftermarket hood, I specified that I didn't want windshield washer squirters. Main'y cause I didn't use em and it would look better, but I removed the resevoir and such. I think full it's like 15-20 pounds, but it's right up front.

Also can relocate the windshield res and the I/C res further back in the engine compartment. Not a weight save, but a re-distribition. I'm relocating both to a common split tank that will sit where the battery used to be.

The rear fenders are composite. Take 'em off and sand from the inside.

we do that to our race car bodys. You can lose a lot of weight sanding it down

How about getting rid of the BED, that's a ton of weight! Has anyone tried that yet?
