I had a set of 4:10's and after talking to a bunch of people decide to trade someone for 3:73's. They all said the 3:73's are perfect for our trucks and the 4:10's are just to much gear.

I just sold my 4.10's for dirt cheap on ebay, I never found anyone to install them for a reasonable price
they say they are a good mod for lightly modded trucks 12.50's or slower, after that every said they hurt more than help. but if you primarily just drive on the street, stop light to stop light and don't really care about your 1/4 times then they are a good mod, great for the street unless you do alot of highway travel. hope this helps

I put 4:10's in my S-10, it really made a diff! I was thinking about doing 4:10's for my 03L since it only see's city driving.

hey ted! where have you been man! ive tried calling you a couple of times! i take it you still have the truck???? give me a call sometime 629-1191...im putting a built shortblock in my truck soon!......people are saying the 3:73 is a great all around gear! I do take my truck to the track..with my 28'' tall slicks..so would 4:10's hurt me much at the track??? im thinking the 3:73 is the best way to go...

I would agree here- My truck (03L) is almost stock and I have a tough time stomping on the gas w/o spinning the tires. 4:10's would seem to be overkill IMO.

instead of changing the rear end size for the track, why not just get smaller diameter tires?

100 TIMES EASIER AND you can go back to stock in a few seconds if you have a good pit crew.

I ran 4.10's for awhile, and I liked it for the quick pick up, but after I put the KB on it was way too much gear. I went back to my 3.73's. I run 20's on the street and 30" hoosiers at the track.
