Bassani Install on Sunday

I read some older threads about bad quality Bassani clamps. Are the clamps still not good to be using? I read another thread where someone said Bassani changed what clamps they were sending with the catbacks. Any input on this. Also, any tricks, tips or special tools needed? Thanks.

I just installed mine a month ago and the clamps seem fine to me. They definitely hold everything together.

reuse your stock clamps, they work better. Have a second person hold your pipes in place while you tighten all your screws. Spray some JB penetration oil at the connections and wiggle untill you get the stocker out. It helps if you have two people and it helps to were gloves

Hopefully your stock clamps were not tightened to the point of crimping the pipes together like my 03. Had to break out the sawzall. I think some have had success with heating the pipe but I knew for sure I'd get them apart with the saw
Good luck and hope you don't have to deal with this issue.

Do your clamps look like this?

It took about 18 months before my well tightened clamps came loose. I was lucky. It didn't completely blow off and cause massive damage. Put a couple tac welds on there to be sure. I did after this happened to me.
