Drove a 04 Regular Cab F150
"It was like in 97, they thought they would be swift and put exhaust in front of tire. No one liked it and they moved it"
I didn't know that. My first pickup was a used '97 XLT(4.6l) and it has the side-exit exhaust. I still have it. I 'chipped' it, added a CAI, bigger th/body, and a Flowmaster c/back exhaust. What a fine truck!
I don't like the pics I've seen of the new body style Lightning.

I still give a big
to the new generation. Everyone has their tastes, and I'm loving the new one. I was very close many times to picking up a nice Gen2 Lightning, but boy, I hate the 97-03 body style. New one rocks
Anyhow, it's a new design. There's always the naysayers at the beginning, then they eventually come over. Mustang owners hating the 94-98 because it's ugly, then getting used to it, then hating the 99-04, then liking it, now hating the 05 (and personally, the 94-98 still looks like kaka
)
