Thanks for all the feedback (except for the dork who thinks the stuff looks "ricey". Tough Dude, I like it).

I've never liked the mirrors on the Lightning; to me they look like bicycle helmets or Mickey Mouse ears. This is one area where Ford cheaped out. The mirrors DO make for a different look, but they don't look too small for the truck, which is what I was concerned about. The signal lights in the **** mirrors are kinda a "Lunar Gauge" green. Sorry, gonna keep the old ones for now.

The hood is from Fiberglass Fabricators out of Chattanooga, TN. It was $425, and the main scoop is functional. They also sell the same hood with just the little snout things functional for $375. I had the underside painted the same as the outside, and it looks awesome with the hood open. Only problem is that now I have to paint the fan shroud to match. The spacing on the front edge is dead-on perfect, so the pic must be some weird shadow or reflection.

Also in the process of painting the tailgate latch red.

I think the antenna is pretty hilarious! I like that it matches the paint, and if you take the time to look, you'll notice the flames. Only problem is that some day I'll come out of Wally-World and it'll be gone. I got it from Shorty Antennas out of California.

If I'm not being to "nosey"...... How much was it to paint the hood?

I am looking to get me an aftermarket hood and, of course, the wife likes to know what I will be spending.

Kinda difficult to "split out" the painting cost on just the hood. The guy who painted it for me was a former student of mine who has a body shop in a small town. He does great work. Cost of the work would also include fitting up the hood and doing all the reattachment work, as well as painting the underside.

My guess is somewhere around $300-$350.

Good luck, man (jamzwayne). The way I worked this one was that I remodeled both of our bathrooms, including ceramic tile and the whole nine yards (new crapper, vanity, doors, storage unit, glass block window, tub door, etc).

The Lightning Bling was the price I charged for the work.

Hey...

OUTSTANDING idea.

I remodeled the washroom, converted a bedroom into a library, and put in some flower beds for the BOSS.

I guess its time to collect on some payment, huh.

Don't get me wrong, she still doesn't like the idea of me blowing a wad on truck goodies, but at least she knows which side her bread is buttered on and keeps shut about it.

And besides, I do DAMN good work!

Hey Jaymz, if you're looking to unload your stock mirrors let me know. I'm looking for a set in red.

Looks Excellent! Do you have any pics of the underside of the hood and do you happen to have website/phone for the mfgr?

I like.

I also like the mirrors, I got some for my truck about a month ago. They looked a little small at first, but when you're actually driving it isn't bad.

I have to ask the $1,000,000.00 question.

Do you still have your old mirrors, and if so, what are you gonna do with them? If for Sale...I'll buy em.
