Seats

I am looking into doing the center cousel mod and was wondering what kinda seat options there are. Through a search I found alot about some recaros and some sparcos but i read mostly about skinny peolples seats, haha. I am about 200 pounds and was wondering waht kinda seat selection there was. Any ideas are appreciated. Also, I was wondering if any of the seats are heated. Im just looking for a more comfortable seat that keeps you in the seat unlike the stockers. Thanks for the replies.

Recaro

The Recaros are really your best option.

The Recaro Sports are the best for those of us with bigger hips (due to tall or wide).

They make a set with heated/cooled (via fan) seats electric adjust and colors to match stock as well.

I couldn't disagree any more, Cold.

I am 6'6", 280 lbs, 42" waist. I tried every seat on the planet at last year's SEMA. The Recaro Sports, while being one of the nicest seats I've ever seen, would not fit me either in the butt or the shoulders.

For a guy my size, the only game in town is Corbeau. They make several seats for 42-44" waists. The quality does not seem to be up there with Recaros, but neither is the price ($300-350 per).

One of these days, I'm going to order some TRS wides, covered in black tweed:

Cool

HI!... Well I'm 6FT and 225LBS and find my RCI racing seats VERY comforable. I actually find them more comfortable than my factory bucket seats. Here's a few pics :

For what? For getting groceries, they are great. Look good, feel good.

For racing (other than a straight line), the only thing worse would be a vinyl-covered bench.

If you are the driver of the black car in your sig, I can't imagine that you find the seats even passable even for spirited street driving. After a track event, my arms are sore from holding up my torso and my legs are bruised from banging around in the cab.

I'm 5'11", 34" waist and 195/200 lbs. I have Sparco Milano seats in my truck and they are just fine. If you are any bigger than that they probably wouldn't fit you well. They are comfortable and hold you in around corners much better than the stock seats. I also have logged about 25K miles them and they have held up just fine.

easter, where did you get the seats from? i have looked at those online and liked them. Do they have a cool and heat function? Also, do they mount right up with the stock mounts and wiring? Thanks for the replies.

I'm 5'8" 230lbs with a 40ish waist and the recaro sports fit me pretty well.

On my other car, I have the corbaeu seats, and I agree they are made for us larger folks...

I've currently got stock seats, and I may be interested in selling them, anyone interested PM me...

If you get the Recaros don't get the power recline and the tilt mechanism. It raises the seat up higher. It is OK to get the fan and heat.
