how much do you think the price will drop on the Gen 2 L's when the Gen 3 comes out?, figured maybe then i would be able to afford a gen 2 if the price dropped enough.

I don't think the Gen 2 price will drop, but go up.

 

I think when they stop having new, current Lightnings at dealers and people hold out for a new version, they'll see the price and the list of bugs to work out for years, and unadulterated late model Lightning owners will be setting pretty to sell.
