Rob, did you install the vacuum canister yet. You said that you think it`s fixed but failed to explain how.

Hey Rob

was out flucking around in the truck today, and for the first time I was looking at the boost gauge at idle.
Now I don't know what the vacuum numbers were before the port job. But my AutoMeter Vac/Boost gauge is reading 20 " of vacuum at idle after the Apten job.
Like someone else said, sounds like you have a problem elsewhere and are covering it up with the addition of the vacuum tank.
Maybe you need to look again at everything

Mine reads right at the bottom of the "C" in "VAC" on the stock gauge.

Mine is pinned all the way BEFORE the guage even starts
(all the way down and pinned off the scale)
Stays like that in P + N, and even when I put it in Drive
(or it did, I haven't checked the guage with the can yet, but the pedal is back, so maybe that changed ?, gotta check)

But everywhere else it shows I am exactly where I belong ???
I can 1/4 stap it at any giving time and it will go over 10lbs,
when crusing at 80 MPH I am at "0" (mid of guage) and then any throttle will net immediate boost (just like it suppose to)

All I can do is see what happens from here, I have now heard from numerous people this is not uncommon after a S/C modification ? But yet we all know only some of us experience it.
I'm taken that as a GOOD SIGN
It's running perfect, we'll see if the ET's are where they belong Saturday --> FASTER THAN GATOR <--

When cruising at 80 mph on a flat highway the gauge should have vacuum and jump to boost if you barely tap the pedal.

I found that all blowers aren't the same. My old blower had the lever of the actuator setting on the rubber bumper. The new blower doesn't have a rubber bumper. It looks like some kind of plastic. The actuator has to be pushed all the way down just to get it to touch the plastic. To have it set right as I explained above in bold text the lever doesn't even touch the plastic. Go figure.

Rob,

Set your actuator to were you have full vacuum at 80 mph and see if this changes your brakes without the canister.

Hey Ronbo. As you know, I just swapped my blower. I haven't noticed any difference with my brakes at all. Do the safe thing and get it checked out buddy. Like was said earlier, the end ot the dragstrip is not the place to find out you don't have brakes any more.

cALL ME Crazy but I think My truck has been creeping since the port job. I really have to push the pedal down when I am at the light or it feels like the truck is trying to pull forward.
