Can you tell the difference? Check it out.

This is what happens when good foglights go bad.

Look at that sucker on the Left, what a joke. Next a comparison of the two.

^ The right foglight, in decent condition, your normal wear for a 2001, just a few rock chips.

^ The left foglight, a friggin mess, this is what happens when it over heats caused by water being sucked in. The warranty people still don't believe me, this had to be caused by rocks.. Yet, if you take it out and hold it so the lense is towards the ground, nothing comes out, you can even shake.

Well can you tell the difference? Ford sure as hell can't. That's my rant, thanks for tuning in.
On a final note, can anyone help me find a replacement that won't cost was a normal car payment would? Thanks again everyone.

-Patrick

I had the same thing happen recently. The driver's side fog went out one night a couple of months ago, took it to the dealer, they replaced the bulb, sent me on my way. A few weeks ago I noticed it starting to cloud up, looked noticeably less clear than the other one. Definitely moisture inside, no visible cracks though. Then it went out again last weekend. Took it to the dealer:

1. Problem: Excessive oil in air intake boot. Resolution: See attached TSB - condition is acceptable operation.

2. Problem: Headlights need alignment (never right since purchase). Resolution: Cheerfully realigned.

3. Problem: Driver's side fog light clouded up and bulb failed. Resolution: New light on order.

I expected the answer on the oil problem, but I'm pretty happy with them replacing the fog readily. Did they deny you a warranty claim?

Yeah they said the water and cracks were caused by rocks and getting a new fog would only come if I paid the absurd dealer costs. It was well over 100 bucks if I remember correctly. The fact of the matter is a rock didn't cause this so I don't know what to do. I took it to two seperate dealerships with the same responses.

Scroll down this web-site . This price isn't great but it's not too bad and they are the 03' and up redesigned version.

A BIT OF ADVICE!!

I got the same run-around from two dealers about "rocks" causing the problem....

I called the 1800 number for SVT direct explaned the situation, and they called the general manager of my local dealer and within 10mins the GM was calling me to schedual an appointment..

- mine was a 2001 as well, and they replaced them 2 1/2 years later.

Sometimes they just gotta hear it from the horse's mouth!

I forgot that, I also called SVT and spoke to the dumbest person I had ever met in my life, they also denied my claim after "speaking" with the dealership on my claim. I am getting screwed from about 8 different directions.

Mine have never been on, NOT ONCE,
other than testing to make sure they actually worked.
Look as good as the day I brought it home, THEY BETTER....

FLBigDog, I saw a post where someone went to Walmart and bought a much better set of fog light, "for hardly nothing", that fit perfect. And I think they were even glass
OR SOMETHING ?

Just had the fog lights on my 2001 replaced under warranty. I called three dealers before one would agree to inspect the fog lights for replacement.
