Question Going to the dragstrip for the 1st time.....

Hey guys...weather permitting I should be able to get to the drag strip tommorow...this will be my first time in the L... I dont have a pair of slicks yet...so I think traction will be my biggest problem...any suggestions or advice guys?? thanks in advance

4 second dry burnout.

Launch at idle then get into gas quickly but don't stomp it til the revs come up a bit.

Hope for 1.9 60' times and you should be in good shape.

Oh, most importantly...if you see any SRT10's, be sure to win.

DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH THE WATER!

with front or rear tires.

if you drive through the water with front tires they will hold water in the tread and you will drip on the track.

If you drive through with rear wheel same thing and PLUS when you spin your tires the water will be all over your wheel well and it will drip on your tires while going down the track.

If you spin off the line, forget it, you'll be in the 14's.
ease into the throttle, once you are going then put it to the floor.


I've spun my tires through first and second, smoked them down the track, it was fun but I ran a 14.4.

The people at the 1/8 here are morons, they always put water in the box...they don't get it. And there is nothing you can do because by the time you get to the front of line there is already water there.
