can anyone give me directions on how to install a 4lb
I have an extra 4# lower, goodyear belt and Denso IT 20's if you need the set.
1. Remove blower belt.
2. Remove heater hose wire shield
3. Remove 15mm nut that holds shield on pulley cage
4. Slip heater hose wire shield off stud and remove 15mm nut that holds cage to engine
5. Remove same nut on pass. side and 14mm bolt on driver side located 8" above heater hose wire shield - pulley cage stud.
6. Remove two 14mm bolts taht hold the trans bellhousing inspection plate on and remove plate.
7. Install 14mm hex socket and 1/2" breaker bar into the lower pulley center hole.
8. Rotate motor clockwise with breaker bar until you can access one of the six torque converter nuts. Use 15mm box wrench and place vertically on torque converter bolt. Re-install a 14mm bolt (3 rotations) on the pass. side trans inspecttion plate. Rotate motor clockwise with breaker bar until 15mm wrench makes contact with the bolt.
9. With motor locked in place, break stock pulley loose (LH THREAD). This will be very tight - 100+ ft lbs to loosen. Spin pulley off adapter and remove.
10. Clean debris off face of balancer. Apply blue loctiite to the supplied bolts, and finger tighten them down. Once snug, torque to 35-40 ft lbs.
11. Slip wire shield back on its original stud. Re-install the two nuts removed off that stud as well as the nut removed off the pass. side stud. Re-install trans. line bracket. Do not re-install the top bolt on the drivers side.
12. Remove 15mm box wrench from trans bell housing and re-install inspection plate.

Taking the original pulley off is a lot easier on a lift. That pulley can be on there really tight. Expect to use a piece of pipe on your breaker bar for an extension to get as much leverage on it that you can. I did mine laying underneath withe the truck on jackstands about 8 inches high - and for a while I didn't think I'd ever break it loose. I had a piece of pipe on my bar as long as I could get laying underneath - but it's tough getting leverage on your back. Finally it broke looose -once it did - everything is easy. But it sure would have been a lot easier on a lift.

sorry reminded me of thundercats or something, damn I'm losing it.
