Tt Srt-10

Anyone wanna spend $42,000 on top of the cost of there SRT-10 and twin turbo it? Come on it adds 350hp! It's only $42,000. God these guys are a joke......

How much does it take to get a Lightning to 850 HP at the crank?

And how is that different than our cold air induction or our throttle body?

Its different as in its TWICE the price of our cold air kits. And up to 4 times the price if you buy yours from BOP

And please,Dont think you are getting anything but an air filter and a tube for $400. You aint gettin no throttlebody or ram air for $400.

That answers your question on how it is different.

Yawn. Just like mod motors compared to pushrods. "OMG, you guys are paying $800 for headers? We can get ours for $300".

It seems weird that they are referring to the VIPER SRT-10, not the Ram SRT-10 in the heading. Have you seen how expensive it is to modify Vipers? Z06s? Any rare sports car? When you have a limited fan base of an expensive product, and a limited number of vendors, the prices will be high. That's supply and demand. Someone willing to spend $80K on a car only has so many choices to buy parts for it. Another $2k on a set of headers doesn't mean much. It all comes down to disposable income.

Did you also notice that those prices include LABOR, dyno tuning, a fully built engine, exhaust (obviously), and warranty? Call up JLP/PSP/JDM and ask for a quote for a twin-turbo Gen2, with built engine, with labor, tuning, and warranty priced in. Hell, call and ask for a price for just a built-engine, and mods pushing 800+HP, with labor, tuning, and warranty, and see how much they offer it for.

How much money does it cost to get a Lightning to run 10.13 @ 142? Wait, haven't done that yet.

Anyway, it's Hennessey. They're also known for their very high prices, shoddy work, rip-offs of customers, keeping cars for over a year without touching them, and yet they have a huge cheerleading group.

Well Hennessey hasnt made a truck go that fast yet either ... So what the point... If that systems exists for the RAM Srt10 and IF they could/would install it this century it wouldnt push the truck to 10.13...

Wth Hennessey - Too many ifs

Gotta love the way they market

"Viper Engine Controller
Viper Engine Controller. Gains 30 hp and 30 lb.-ft. torque or more depending on your level of modifications. Price: $1,295.00 ea "

For $1295.00 you dont get a description of what it is or how ot works or even a picture.....

I also doubt that the system has even been installed on a Ram SRT-10. The write-up there is geared towards the Viper SRT-10. They probably just apply it to the Ram since it's the same engine. As far as the e/t, that was going off their Viper information. So, yes, that was a bad analogy on my part, equally as bad as comparing a Lightning to a Viper Who knows how that same set of modifications will result when placed in a Ram and not a Viper. It's too insubstantial to make any comparisons.

Does that figure include new parts to replace the stuff that are sold of while the truck sits in the shop?
