What weight is everyone running in there motor. Is 5w-30 better than 10w-30. Also is there a tranny fluid that is recomened, I'm putting in the FTVB this weekend along with a 4x4 trans pan, how many quarts should it take. Thanks...

I switched to Mobil 1 5w-30 after a few thousand miles break in.
When I did my FTVB I just bought a full case of Ford Mercon tranny
fluid, and I think I had a couple Quarts left. Make sure you use the Mercon-DextronIII oil. When I was at the Ford Dealership, the idiots at the parts dept. tried selling me the wrong tranny fluid.
