Wink New guy questions

Hey all, I am considering buying a 2004 lighting, and I have a few noob questions.

What hp are the stock motor internals good for?
What are the first components that need to be upgraded and at what hp?

Are there any know probs with the truck or drivetrain?
at higher hp levels?

Yes, I am doing searches to try and answer my own questions, but I'd appreciate any input you have

Thanx in advance
Iron

I heard 450 rwhp is max "safe" hp for the stock internals. just depnds on what you do and the tune. Not sure about the tranny. I would be interested to see if any big hp monster are still using the stock (non built) tranny and how well it's holding up. Pully, ported blower, aftermarket blowers, nitrous, and tune are the big power adders for these things...rest is crapola.

just my oppinion.
