Race Fuel ?'s
Race Fuel ?'s
I got a few ?'s
First off for the E-town---Jersey Guys what is the highest octanne they sell at there pumps? I know they had 100 but never looked at the others..(unleaded)
Also are there and I'll affects to running Race fuel say 105-116 besides the cost naturally..
Not on a constant basis just at the track I know they recommend a 1/4 tank of 100 oct for most set ups, but say you ran 116 instead is it bad --good or just a waste
I know it is a dumb ? but hey I never said I was smart just a smartass
Thanks

I have heard that it will burn up your Cats faster, and your clyinders. I also was told that, this is if you only run it strait, and constantly. Hopes this helps some, but like I said I have no idea if this is correct. If I were you I would just mix 100 with the 93.

its a waste unless its tuned for it. i dont believe its hard on any of your cylinders. and its only hard on your o2s and cats if its leaded gas (you can get 104 unleaded). if you run race gas, change your fuel filter more often
The highest unleaded Etown sells is 100.
There is a place in Paterson that is a Sunoco Distributor that sells 100 out of the pump and every other kind of fuel imaginable. I buy 104 unleaded there. He pumps it into a jug for you. If you don't have a jug, he sells them as well. Nice guy but they have crazy hours so call before you go. (The 100 out of the pump is available anytime from the gas station next door).

This place supplies all of the race tracks (Except Atco) in the area. If they are not open when you go then you can always hang out for awhile at Trixie's gogo bar which is right up the street.
As cpeapea said, if you are not tuned for it then it is pretty much a waste and unleaded is safe. Higher octane fuel is harder to burn and requires (For Rob) MORE TIMING

A light mix would be O.k. to feel safe.
Used on a random track only basis, a slight mix would not hurt anything.
Its only needed of your trying to run lots of timing, boost and leaning it out.
A strong mix of 116 would probably slow you down.
How much timing are you running, and how much boost.
