Lakewood Traction Bars

What do you guys think about lakewood traction bars? I have been told that they arent long enough and to go with some that are 58 inches long.

I had them and loved them for the price.
I don't think a longer bar (truck tracks) work any better especially when you consider the price difference.

I sold my lakewoods and went with JLP Lift Bars

I've had the Lakewood bars on mine since '02 ran 12.2's with 1.6x 60ft time and zero problems to date. Not bad for the $90 if you ask me.

I have Lakewoods and they worked great for wheel hop. I am still getting axle wrap. I talked to Johnny from JLP at Bradenton last month and he said with my RWHP I should go with something longer. He told me to check my axle for tell-tale signs that I am getting axle wrap. I did notice some spots on my axle that were a bit out of the normal range.

To answer your question...yes....they are great for wheel hop and do help with hooking the rears up.

go with the 58 "s you wont be dissapointed, this way you will/should not have to worry about upgrading to them at a later date when you get more HP
