Check out our kits. They are a great setup and very easy to install. I have removed and installed others and can tell you first hand that ours is the easiest to install and by far the best fan out there.

It is for sale for $399.95 or with the Cobra water pump for $459.95

Any fan setup for a 97-03 f150 will work. The only thing you have to build is an intercooler bracket. You can also use a stock efan off of a mustang. Just cut the shroud off of it and mount it to the stock lightning shroud using some 90degree strips of metal. Then all you have to do is just wire it up. Either way you have to do a little bit of fabrication. Its really not that bad of a job for the money you save. Good Luck

This is just hearsay but I believe the crown vics will also work, or at least the police crown vics have an efan that nearly bolts right up as well. Since they are the same engine i imagine it's true. Police crusiers crash all the time, might find one in salvage.

I did my own for $80, works perfectly even in 110 heat. Took it off a 96 t-bird with the 4.6. Hooked up on High with a toggle switch and a monster fuse. No problems at all.

i used the Motorcraft RF-86 18" Curved Blade, 2 speed, Electric Fan. yes it moves plenty of air. i got mine from rockauto.com for $135. paid $85 for the MAD enterprise wiring kit. done. out the door just over $200. never runs over 185 even when it was in the 90 the other day down here. no overide switch, but in the instructions, it tells you how to wire one in. not a big deal to do. i got the kit for mad enterprise:

http://www.madenterprise.com/F150.htm

and the fan from:

www.rockauto.com

you will probably have to get the pigtail for the fan from MAD, but it is only $10. just go to rockauto and search for part number rf-86 to find the fan. all you have to make is the brackets to hold the fan in. i made some out of some 0.5" flat steel bar i got from home depot. i have pictures of my fabrication and installation of you want to see.

Does anyone use Hayden fans or electric fan controllers? They have an adjustable controller that is adjustable from 160-230. Like many have said before I dont see how they(the vendors) can justify charging so much for some thing that is so inexpensive to produce. I guess you can find suckers to buy just about anything.

ttt... also want to know about the hayden adjustable wiring kit.

the one I have simply has a thermometer that slides inbetween the coils inthe radiator.
I would really like something more precise.

Ech05star,
do you have a link or something for this kit?

Do a search with E*Fan like Chainsaw13 did. You will find all kinds of information. I originally purchased a fan kit and did not like the way it was controlled. When it was all said and done the Ford fan, a Painless temp sender, a couple of relays, 2 fuse blocks, a 160 degree thermostat, and some wire is all you need to make an E Fan that works GREAT! The wiring information is all there you just have to look.

I bought Tom's at Outrageous, spent less than $400 and that was installed - very happy with the installation and fan.
