Cool SnugLid SL is on...

Broke down and bought the SnugLid SL.

Fit is perfect, 100% watertight, color matches perfectly.

It took 3 weeks from time of order to installation.

Supposedly, it is very simple to remove if I need to use my Lightning as a truck, but I don't know...

No drilling to mount it and it opens with about 10 lbs. of lifting force.

Real latches secure it closed (they look like the latch that holds your door closed).

My only gripe is the lock is stainless (and shiny) and I think it would have looked better if it was black.

Anyway, thought I would share my experience. Very happy with the SnugLid SL...

Looks sweet. How much to get the lid with the color matching?

Cool

$989 installed, with lifetime paint and structural warranty, as well as local taxes.

I believe they are out of Long Beach, so you could probably save some shipping $ as well...

I have had my one for about 6-8 months and the lock has faded some. So it wont stay shiny unless you polish her up.

But i agree it would look better if it was color matched. My L is black and the lock stand out like a sore thumb

I am considering a Fibrotec lid. Does anyone know any info about these lids. I've been looking but it's hard to find info on this company. Kind of has me thinking not to get it.
