I just posted about the mods for my new 03 and Don said I should go with the new SCT. What is the SCT? and what are some benefits and losses of both of these programmers?

You will be hearing a lot about the SCT soon. I just brought my L to JDMs for tuning with the SCT stuff. Will be posting results soon.


BTW- Can you say 6 (YES 6 ) position chips. Had one in my hand today. Imagine the possibilities of tunes.

I believe the SCT is Superchips newest hand held tuner. It is like the 1715 tuner, but it offers the same functions as the predator, or mabey even more. I have heard that it is Bad @$$.

6 positions thats crazy, the technology has come so far since these trucks first came out. anyone got a site i can go to to check SCT out? keep it up tuners. I am probably not getting the mods from my other post till summer so hopefully it will be out then. 6 positions woul be great for me in texas.

They are 4 position plus the stock program (or whatever you have flashed onto the PCM.

Retailers just received them last week, they have been available through dyno tunes with jerry since late january, I had one of the first ones that was sold to a customer.

The SCT stuff is really good, anyone who has seen the diablo revolution software side by side with the SCT software will tell you the SCT stuff is leaps and bounds ahead in terms of ease of use and flexibility. Similar results are probably possible with both, but the SCT is just so easy to use and intuitive.

Edit: there are 8 or maybe 10 positions on the dial switch, who knows we might be able to use them all in the future.

If both "tuners" can do all four banks, and you can enter numbers
for the values, all the rest is FLUFF, and I would rather not pay
for fluff. Besides, I would trust the tuner that got me the extra
SECOND in the quarter mile before I would trust anyone else!!!

 

You can tweak a/f and timing like the Predator on the SCT right? I believe you can.....

But some tuners are going to lock those functions so you won't be able to tweak your parameters....so why buy one?

 

buy the SCT 9100 FROM MIKE TROYER AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANY OF YOUR OWN ADJUSTING!! I just installed my max perf tune from him and I could not be more pleased! Btw-i have 3 different tunes plus stock-8 min install via port..

I am having Jerry Dyno Tune my truck with SCT on April 19th, then MILOC is renting Milan speedway for 1/2 a day.

I'm thinking low 12's with a 3# pulley

 

Where's that going to be? Dave's?

I just opened the box about 30 minutes ago....my 9100 SCT with 3 programs arrived this afternoon.

I was warned to stay out of Jerry's way while he is tuning.

Which is fine, I don't care if he is the meanest person on earth as long as it's tuned right!
