Help Guys with 4 lbs lower and Predator

I need to help my buddie in tuning his Predator for his 2000 L until he sends off his stock tune to be altered. His mods are open cone kNN filter and changed muffler to two borlas and added an X-pipe and no-cats.

He will also add a 4 pounder lower and 90mm Maf as well.

How should I sent the following:

Timing Table (+/- 10%)
Fuel Table (+/- 15%)
Idle (+/- 20%)
Rear 02 Sensors (Off-road Exh), EGR on/off
Rev Limiter
Full Throttle Shift Points
Shift Pressure

Thanks in Advance.

From: At the Gas Pump!
+10% fuel
3500 rpm rev limiter
3200 rpm full throttle upshift

That should keep him out of trouble

We are both going to the dyno on Friday and he wants to see the difference with the custom tune he will soon get compared to my tuning of the predator.

I would think twice about running on the dyno, or pushing the truck in any way with a 4# pulley, and no custom tune. Just a small mistake can mean trouble with these engines. Just my advise...wait for the custom tune from a tuner.

Are the tunes already on the Predator that unsafe? Since on the dyno you get your A/F ratios ... you can make adjustment to the Predator Tune to make it more safe or am I wrong?

Anyone had luck doing this?

It don't matter how many runs it takes to make the tune safe.

I don't really understand what you're trying to do here. If you are thinking about just modifying with the Predator (I think it's called factory HP tune), or installing the pulley tune from diablosport, then I think you should take caution with the truck. Maybe you'll be fine, but there have been a lot of posts lately about diablosport tunes blowing engines, as well as user modifications causing problems. Maybe you know exactly what you're doing, and that's cool, but if not, better safe than sorry...wait for the custom tune then dyno, and have your tuner make changes from there! Good luck

I personaly ran the Diablo Pulley tune (because I deleted my custom tune from JLP on accident) and it gave me pinging at around 80mph at WOT...

so be careful!!!!! with the diablo tune. I was lucky that I heard the pinging before I got myself in trouble. I didn't buy the predaotr to screw with my tunes, or use the diablo tunes, I bought it for the ease of getting tunes through email...

edit...sorry, my mods when I ran the tune and got pinging were 4# lower and denso It-22's gapped at .32
