e-fan and mpg

I was just checking out JDM's new site and I noticed that he advertises a 2 mpg increase in gas milage with the e-fan. Just wondering if you actually get that from an e-fan. I can't remember people talking about that and i would think it would get mentioned more if it were true. Just wondering if you can get 2 mpg "under the right conditions" or if its pretty much true across the board?

You dont here much about it because were not exactly looking for gas mileage or we wouldnt have an L. Anytime you relieve drag from the engine economy will improve in normal driving. As for the 2 mpg claim, I'm not sure but I did see similar improvements on my old Mustangs. If your foot's in it most of the time, the do the E-fan for the free up power reason instead of economy. If you do a lot of highway driving then economy will improve.

i just did an efan, and am now seeing just under a 1 mpg improvement. i takes a couple tanks before you will notice. th first tank after it ther was a slight improvement in mpg, but the one after that was up almost 1 mpg. and looking at the miles i have on this tank versus how much gas i have used, it looks to be improving. i would say maybe 2 mpg in a perfect world, but ~1 mpg is realistic. i wouldn't spend the money on their kit if you are at all mechanically inclined. i made my own for half the price, and if i chose to do all the wiring it could have been cheaper. i used the MAD enterprise wiring kit with made the whole deal easier. i think that is a great product. it has a variable low speed turn on temp, and turns on high at 205, or when the a/c condenser temp goes above 150, to keep the a/c blowing cold. my truck runs just over 180 always. throttle response is better too.

Exactly the improvement I got, just under 1 mpg. After the few tanks of testing MPG, I get a few MPG less than before because I can't keep my foot out of the gas
