adjust KB boost bypass?
adjust KB boost bypass?
It's sunday... noone to call and ask.... Have you ever adjusted the boost bypass on your KB? I'm still chasing a strange chirp and it was suggested my bypass valve might have a tear in the diaphram or it might not be closing all the way. I put a new bypass on just for grins and discovered that the new bypass rubber seal had to be slightly broken -- i.e. lift the plastic arm slightly (thereby breaking the seal) in order to snap it onto the little plastic ball. Shouldn't the bypass, when fully closed, travel until the rubber seal is fully engaged? If it isn't, wouldn't I be bleeding off a little boost?
The screw to adjust the bypass stop does appear to be adjustable but appears to have spacers in there so that they are set in place...
any suggestions would be most welcome.
thx
