A couple of questions about my 04 L

alright, do your lightnings have a heat thing under the hood? the foam or whatever that sticks to the underside of the hood.. I dont have one and i've never seen a vehicle without it..

also, after you drive, and shut off the engine.. you hear popping noises (which every car does).. I hear it when im at a stoplight and the engine is running.. is this bad?

I am going to take new pics tomorrow and post..

Mods so far:
REM catback exhaust
REM oil seperator
REM cold air kit
2 kicker l5 10's with a fosgate 700S amp

REM being less than 3 miles away is a bad thing

they don't have liners under the hood-

popping sound is the exhaust (cats I think) and is normal.

You know what...my last car was a jetta. I had it for three years. I never had the "after turn off popping noises" with that car. Before that I drove an explorer for a few years. That car had it. My lightning has it. My dad had an expedition for three years...that car made that same noise. His tahoe before that and his tundra after it did NOT make that nose. And all the benzos that my mom had didnt make that noise either... IN CONCLUSION, only the fords we have ever owned made that noise...do not know why.
