Torco 104

Is torco 104 race gas unleaded or leaded?

Would it hurt to run it in our Lightnings?

I think you can get Torco 104 unleaded or lesded, you just have to specify what you want. www.torcoracefuels.com

Thanks Don.

That web page says it's "Low lead" and for "off road use only".

Hum... There is a station here in my town that sells it. But nowhere on the pump, nor does the attendant know if it has lead.

Anybody run this stuff?

I dont think stations are allowed to sell leaded gas... isnt there some sort of "enviroment act" against it?

We have a station that sold Sunoco and VP race fuels. Maybe they just can't have it coming out of the pumps.

A local guy just told me that he's run over 150 gallons through his gen 2 with no problems.

If they are selling it at the pump, the nozzle should be too big to fit your gas fill nozzle if it is leaded. At least that was how they stopped people from filling up with leaded when they introduced catalytic converters back in the dark ages.

Keep away from the 104 octane even if it is unleaded. That stuff is not rubber hose friendly and will soften/eat your fuel lines! Only use it if you have stainless steel ones.

I use the 100 octane Sunoco or Turbo Blue, which are the same, plus it won't eat your fuel lines.

Hope this helps.

Hey Brad, That is a good point.

I spent a little time in fuel pumps and I know that most modern Ford products (99+ models) are able to handle exotic fuels. My 87 SS might have an issue though?
