Thumbs up LFP Ported Blower

Here are some pics of the LFP ported blower. Fluid and gaskets were supplied. DealerJim and I had this boy swapped out in less than 2 hours with zero problems.

Mark bought a new blower to start the exchanges on the 99-00 and I was the luck recipient. Mine is a daily driver so this worked out great for me.

It sure feels like it pulls stronger at 100+ mph. It must be breathing on the big end. We'll see how it does at the track tonight.

Great job Mark.

Yeah Rob back about 10,000 miles ago I had the leaking head gasket replaced and asked the service manager if he would have the tech clean the oil out of my intercooler. He said what do you mean and I proceeded to tell him about the oil in the intake problem and he said no problem that he would tell the tech. I had just installed the Swanson Kit so I wanted to keep it clean.

Well to my surprise I found that the tech had just wiped out the front of the upper plenum and the dripping excess on the other parts. There was no dripping oil or new oil but all the old oil was still coating everything. Needless to say it ran pretty rough for a couple of minutes after I shot about a half a can of brake cleaner though the intercooler when the blower was off. It's not spotless but it's a whole lot cleaner.

If it's an LFP ported blower, why is the guy in the picture wearing a JDM sweater?? Just wondering.

Oh, and one more thing, why does Rob's WES port look a lot different than scotts WES port?

Just trying to figure out differences between ports since i am planning on getting one soon.

Wes Port Job

JLP Port Work

Don't mean to bum ya out Scott, but that is not even close. Lets see a pic of the intake side of that porting Scott. I now know why you didn't get sqwaut from that port job.

You recieved about 250 dollars less work .

Rocks

Edited to keep confusion down if anyone else bounces off of this post to respond....

I knew something was wrong with those pictures. It looks like the only thing done to scotts was the second hole; which is also tiny compared to the other ports.

Hmmmmm???

Here is the pic that Scott posted as his port job. I stand behind my comment.....it is not the same port job.

:

I believe the confusion was created by Fractolddragons reponse to my post. His response only showed the JLP porting, where my post showed JLP's port work...and Scotts 8 H.P. port job.

Rocks:thumbsup
