i have been in LOVE with the lightnig ever since i first saw one. when i saw it i realized my reason for being in this world. to get a truck that will beat the compitition. i am saving for one as we speak, and i kno i wont be able to get a new one, well unless i save for alot longer. which i cant wait that long, i dont really know what the resale value is. plus i dont see why someone would want to give up that treasure. my questions is, how much could i get on for used? i have been reading this site for about 4 hours straight, i want to find a good page with lightnig pictures so i can get some ideas of how people have tricked out their sweet rides. i dont know an extreme amount about cars, but i have a basic idea of how stuff works, all i know is i know what i like and what i like is the lightning.

 

First off you can visit the photo galleries on this site. Click the link to the left. You can find a used 99-00 Lightning for under $20,000. I think JJ just bought a 99 or 00 with 3X,000 for around $17,000. The deals are out there, you just have to look. Not sure how much money you are trying to spend so I am giving LOW numbers. Sometimes you can score a killer deal. A friend of mine is buying a 98 Trans Am with 7800 miles for $12,000 right now because the guy is going through a divorce. hey thank man. i want a lightning SO bad i love them. i will save up until i cant handle it anymore then go and but one. i want to get the newest one i can. but i dont evev care i love em so much it would not matter.

 

Be very careful with the 99/00 Lightning. There is one thing you need to know about them. The intercoolers were flawed and would leak. There was a recall done, but not every Lightning owner was smart enough to have the recall done.

If you are buying a 99/00, make sure the intercooler recall was done or you are looking at some potential big $$ (over $1000) to get the fix done at your expense.

If you can find one at a dealer, you may be able to work this into the deal.
