I have about 11.5k on my 03 and they're starting to squeel too...I guess I should quit riding them like an old lady But I doubt you could claim warranty on something like brake pads since they're a wear and tear kinda thing? I was just going to get some ruslow rotors and new pads soon.

I don't know about warranty, but I would go ceramic if I were you. I have used ceramic on every vehicle I have just to avoid squeaking.

D-Day

Have you checked the "tell tale" to see if your pads are
worn out? That squeals when it touches the rotor. Kinda
an automatic warning BEFORE you ruin the rotors with
steel on steel ...

Mine started to do that around that milage also, i figured they were just wore out, but i changed them with the Hawk pads and there was still about 1/2 life left on those pads, i think it is just the material they are made out of. Now i have pads that sound like a school bus is stopping, actually i was behind a bus the other day and my pads were louder.

If it's wet outside, they might sqeak due to the moisture. Also, If you buy Motorcraft brake parts, or rather ANY Motorcraft parts from the dealer, as long as it's not electrical, keep the receipt. There is an unspoken 12 month warranty on that stuff. That's saved my @$$ many times. As far as the origninals go, I've seen dealers warranty it due to the rotors not being aligned correctly, thus wering out the pads prematurely. Just make nicey nice with a service writer and they might consider it a defect as long as you still fall under the 36/36,000.
