Feature!

It's a "feature" of all F-150s.

There's a small piece of metal in there that is rubbing. You can either get it fixed now (take it to an upholstry shop that deals with fords, they'll know the problem and wrap the metal) or you can just wait for it to rub through and get it covered under warranty (at which point the upholstry shop will do the fix).

I have had my seat fixed twice already. The metal loop in the seat that was put in for support actually cuts the foam loose and begins to work it's way through the fabric. The best fix is to have the metal loop wrapped and the foam replaced.

I had the same problem on my Mustang. The side bolster "rail" thing punches through the padding.

I took it to a shop where he actually glued the foam padding back together and added some reinforcing to the bottom to prevent it from happening again. Worked fine until I got rid of it.
