I had the same experience with mine last weekend for its first oil change. Didn’t have the filter wrench, well I had one but for smaller filters on my last 4.2 truck.
Took a C-Clamp squeezing the chit out of it and about 15 minutes to get it off. I thought the oil filter was a permanent freaking fixture under there. People at the factory must have a great time ”Hey Andy, crank up the torque on this one to 50ft-lbs…LMAO”

Remember. Mataes.Filter wrenches are only for removing filters. Not putting them on.A wise old mechanic once told me years ago to only hand tighten an oil filter.Believe me , in 25 years I never once had one loosen up on me.
