Temp Guage Hook-up Question

I have an AutoMeter temp guage and am confused on how to hook it up. Can i just tap off the original Hot/Cold guages' temp sender wire? If so where is it? If not, where do i install the autometer temp sender? And how do i find the ignition switch wire? I'd sure appreciate some help! Thanks in advance

If you are talking about a coolant temp guage. There is a block drain plug on the lower left side of the engine you can remove and install the sensor. Or if that sight is being used like mine, with an e. fan temp sensor. You can drill and tap the thermostat housing.

Cool

I assume you are referring to a water temp gauge. You will need to install the sending unit that came with the gauge.

You can get ignition power from a multitude of sources. I like to use one of the open relay sockets in the underhood fuse/relay box. Keeps from splicing wires and/or using fuse taps, but that is just me.

What about the ignition switch wire? Where and how do i tap into it? Is there no way to tap off the original dash H/C guage?

Driver side above the oil filter, right by the freeze out plug.
